but this is a 2009 car don't you think they are screwing up by putting the specs out this early. this car probbaly won't be released till late next year giving ford plenty of time to build another mustang that will be able to out perform the camaro
yea true but chevrolet can always come out and make something that will out do them both
i personally think they need to remake the older model corvette

yeh, i would love to see the older vette come out. I wish they would make that colorado they prototyped the one with the vette motor in it
The old/new retro concept cars like this and the mustang actually started with the Thunderbird in 2002 and the Corvette in 2003. The Corvette was a 50th anniversary 1953 Commemorative Edition. Saw 5 of these down in Atlanta in 2003 when Tennessee went to the Peach Bowl in the parade before the game.
Here is an article and some pics of it:

personally i think that both ford and GM need to quit trying and out do each other and just worry about selling cars based on hom much money both are losing each quarter

Look around and see how many Camaros and Mustangs you see- then see if they aren't one of the better sellers. But on the GM note, the GTO had the 'vette engine, cost quite a bit more than the GT and would run with the Mach 1s, but bottom line- it didn't sell. I doubt the Camaro even with the 'vette engine will run with the top of the line Mustangs. Shelby has never put his name on a slow car. One thing GM might do is sell them at a loss to try to regain the lost market. And there are no aftermarket products since there isn't a car line now. What I would like to see most is the Challenger brought back, sporting the 450hp hemi. It was kicked around, but gas prices have slowed most muscle car programs. I wish NASCAR would go back to making drivers drive the factory cars, at least 500 sold to the public for the street.
